Terms and conditions

Subject to these terms, Whites Group Pty Ltd ABN 25 001 845 478 ("Whites") will provide cash grants of up to $4,000 per grant, to chosen recipients. The total pool of $40,000 will be allocated. Applicants must be over the age of 18 to apply. Grants will only be awarded for eligible causes in communities in rural and regional districts (excluding Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Gold Coast).

Recipients will be chosen from applications received via online submission during the 2 month campaign period from 1st September to 31st October 2016 (inclusive).

Applications must meet the terms and conditions outlined here at www.wrcommunity.com.au/terms-conditions.html unless decided otherwise by Whites.

Whites reserves the right to select grant recipients and distribute funds at its own discretion to eligible candidates as it sees fit. A minimum of ten grants will be awarded across five separate regional groupings (NSW & ACT, VIC & TAS, SA & NT, WA, and QLD). If no eligible applications are received within a region, Whites reserves the right to withhold or apportion grants to other states as it sees fit.

The People’s Choice Award will be for a maximum $4,000 grant and decided by public vote online. Only one vote per submission per person is permitted. Applicants will be able to opt out of the People's Choice Awardduring the online application process. For those opting in, the information published will be Grant Title, Group Name, Purpose, Benefit to Community, About the Group, Category and State.

Voting for the People's Choice Award will close at midnight 13th November, and the winner announced on November 30th. 

Whites cannot be held accountable or liable in any way for any ill-effects caused by granting or spending the grants, especially if it is misused or misappropriated. All responsibility and liability lies with the successful applicant.

All submitted photos, videos and information must have the express permission of all persons involved or appearing in the submitted material. By agreeing to these terms and conditions all applicants agree to allow Whites to use all and any submitted photos, videos, and information for reasonable commercial purposes including editorial and social media. Whites reserves the right to request additional information, photographs and videos about how the grant money is spent, and any material submitted after the fact will also be subject to these same terms and conditions. Whites will collect, store and deal with your personal information in accordance with Whites Group's Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Entries will be judged on the following three criteria:

i. Benefit to kids and the wider community – adding to the amenity and social well-being of the local community;
ii. Creativity of the project – this can be a creative project, or a project that is creatively presented
iii. Practicality of the project – a project that can be implemented in the community in a timely manner using the allocated funds

Winners will be announced on 30th November 2016
